Zuckerberg Bar Mitzvah

It is always nice to get kids involved in charity at an early age. Guests were asked to bring a game or toy to help the bar mitzvah boy reach out and make kids happy during the holiday season. Three boxes were filled to the brim for Max to donate to his favorite charity.

Guests found their seats by taking their MAXCAR place card ticket.

What a sweet table. Nothing beats finishing off a meal like a sweet table fit for a king. Colorful, fun and great tasting was what was in store for guests of Max. Matt Prentice did not let anyone down. There was everything from cheese cake on a stick to hot apple pie with ice cream to just name a few.

Thank you Kathy Andrews from the

for the beautiful decorations. Kathy is always a pleasure to work with and has great ideas. Always professional and knowledgeable.

Balloons were by me, Andrea Solomon and looked great with the linens from Chair Covers and Linens. Bold colors helped make the room look fun and inviting. all the details added up to one heck of a night!

Putnick Wedding - July 25, 2009

It is always so nice to do a wedding where everyone is happy and the weather co-operates. I was fortunate to assist Vicki Shapiro and Jeff Putnik on their wedding, July 25th in Saugatuck, Michigan. More then 1/2 the guests were from the Detroit area and enjoyed a fabulous weekend of golf, shopping in South Haven, Holland and Saugtuck and a wonderful wedding. Rabbi Loss from Temple Israel performed the ceremony and Jamez from Cloud 9 in Canton was their DJ.

The wedding was outside at the Laketown Golf and Conference Center. The weather was fabulous and the chuppah was held by four close family and friends. Afterward, hors d'oeuvres were served on the terrace before the guests entered the beautiful Laketown Banquet Hall.

The wedding would not be complete without a picture of Mr. Pickles, their pet dog.

The colors black and hot pink looked great in the hall. With colorful flowers, hot pink mints at each place settingand a beautiful cake, the room looked beautiful. The head table had 14 people at it and the 21 round tables filled the room.

One of the best cakes I have ever tasted, Elliots in St. Joseph, Michigan was a fabulous way to end a great dinner. Colorful cookies and other pastries on the sweet table, were all made by Elliots.

Table Linens

The following pictures are from a special event show I was at a few months back. I keep apprised with current styles and trends by attending trade shows, reading books and magazines, talking with fellow vendors, using the internet and meeting with clients. If you can imagine it I can help you create it! Call me and let me help you find the right linen company to fit your design and budget.

Rebecca's Bat Mitzvah - May 2009

I believe the party begins when your guests receive your invitation. Everything from the envelope calligraphy to the stamp, should pull the theme together.

If you give me a design, picture or logo, in any colors, I can make you delicious cookies, vanilla or chocolate, for your party. Each cookie is individually wrapped and makes a great presentation. They can be used as a favor or on a napkin as a napkin ring or as place cards or, well, the skies the limit!

Rabbi Eve and Duncan Gilman

Eve and Duncan got married on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Adat Shalom in Farmington Hills, MI. A beautiful wedding was attended by family and friends from all over the country. Filled with tradition, song and plenty of dancing, Eve and Duncan make a beautiful couple.
I always tell my brides and grooms to bring comfortable shoes. This is very important. If you can't walk you will be miserable. So a lot of brides choose to decorate their shoes. It's fun and inexpensive and gives you the freedom to enjoy your own party. Be sure to bring one or two extra pair of shoes!

Breath of Spring Florist made the room come alive with colorful centerpieces and beautiful chuppah. There was a throne for the bride to sit on during the Kabbalat Panim and the band Radio City kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Rabbi Nevens and Cantor Glantz flew in to celebrate and conduct the ceremony.

Donna CalhounTattoo's

Meet Donna Calhoun. Donna and her staff are fabulous tattoo artist who also do face painting and henna's. Their tattoo's are not sprayed on, they are drawn on by hand and last 5 to 7 days. They do not come off with water. You need rubbing alcohol to get them off. Donna does a great job, is VERY personable and everyone who receives a tattoo gets lots of looks because they are so colorful and sparkly.
Just a few examples of Donna's daughters artistic abilities.

Ben's Casino Royale - June 14, 2009

Temple Beth El was the perfect place to host Ben's Casino Royale. A fabulous entrance sign, created by Ben's dad Paul, welcomed guests into Ben's Casino.
What happened at Ben's Bar Mitzvah stayed at Ben's Bar Mitzvah! NOT, the Jewish News got wind of it and wrote what a great time everyone had.

Oh the games people play were everywhere. There were ten slot machines, a roulette wheel, black jack tables, a craps table and two race car driving machines. The kids loved that. The kids as well as adults were having a great time. John Stewart Photography and Face's in the Air Tattoos also kept everyone busy during the evening. ETC ( Excellence to Catering) had the food flowing all night long. Cloud 9 provided the music during the evening and after dinner you were lucky to move on the dance floor. Great tunes, wonderful food combined with Ben and his parents happiness made for a fantastic evening!

When you entered Ben's Casino Royale you were greeted at the Cashier's Cage where you received your coins to play the slots and chips to play the room. On top of that you received.....

Your place card. The place cards were a deck of cards with Ben's picture on it. Very cool.

The colors red, white and black worked great in the room. The gorgeous linen and chairs were from Chair Covers and Linens. There was three different looks and the black chavari chairs pulled the whole room together.

The Henry Ford Museum

A really fun place to have a wedding is INSIDE The Henry Ford Museum. You can arrange the tables anyway you want. 90% of the people put the dance floor under the B52 Bomber.

When you have Mike Staff Productions as your DJ, your guests will not be sitting down the whole evening!

A beautiful and unique way to decorate your place card table is with Ribbons and Candles.

Notice that the place cards are not folded like a tent. They are folded like if you were to open a book. Some times slight changes can make the ordinary, extraordinary. Be creative, add a little color and enjoy!

Tonight's wedding was a strolling dinner with a number of stations that allowed guests to eat and walk around the museum at their leisure.

Lovet Hall @ Greenfield Village

The Wedding of Susan Barnett and Jared Sherr

On May 30, 2009 I did a fabulous wedding at Lovett Hall next to Greenfield Village, across from The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. What a beautiful place to hold a wedding. Yes, it has air conditioning and the chandeliers glisten. There are so many places to take pictures that D & L Photography in Wixom never had to walk far to find a Kodak moment. Working with Christina Dodge from The Henry Ford was such a pleasure. She is wonderful and very accommodating.

Nouveaute, their band, had no problems keeping the Bridal Party and all their guests on the dance floor. Wendy, the lead singer had everyone rock and rollin all night long. When the parents and bride and groom are on the dance floor, your wedding is nothing but a hugh success! Nouveaute covers a diverse range of material, including romantic duets, jazz/standards, big band/swing, motown, fifties/sixties, disco, old school funk and the very latest high energy top forty and hip-hop dance music.
Their outstanding sound, continuously updated equipment and repertoire, combined with the singers’ showmanship and involvement with the audience ensures a memorable entertainment experience for your event.

When it came to flowers Bellisario was the preferred florist. Don't let their location in Eastpointe stop you from talking to them.

Ralph, the owner, learned everything he knows from his father. Ralph and his staff are creative and informative. Worth talking to.
