Motorcity Casino Hotel

I would like to thank Erika White from the MotorCity Casino Hotel for working with me on my latest business networking luncheon. Below on the right is Irene Lignos the Director of Conference and Catering Services. She and her staff gave us a wonderful tour of the hotel, their famous restaurants, high rollers suite, D.Tour Spa, and the buffet. On the left is Dorothy Bennick from the Masonic Temple.

We started our tour with a 45 minute meet and greet in the hotel lobby where refreshments were served and enjoyed by over 40 vendors from around the Detroit area.

Did you know the MotorCity Casino Hotel Ballroom can hold 1,600 people? They have, to the floor linen, votive candles and they offer white and black glove service. There staff is phenomenal and really know how to turn a room in a given amount of time. The bars, shown below, were custom made and vendors have easy access into the room for unloading and loading equipment.

The next room we were blown away by was SOUND BOARD. Sound Board, Detroit’s most innovative live-performance theater features some of the biggest names in entertainment. The intimate 1,500-seat theater puts everyone close to the performers. With state-of-the-art sound technology, Sound Board is an intense entertainment experience BUT can also be used for bar and bat mitzvahs and specialty parties. The room is two floors and the first 9 feet of the stage can be lowered below ground level for magnificent entrances.

A new vendor that I met is Suzana a balloon twister. She made me the cutest centerpiece ( seen below).
Another thing you may not know is the D. Tour Spa can be enjoyed by everyone. You do not have to be staying the night in the hotel. You can have a spa day with friends or an intimate couples spa night. Here we are shown the massage room. There are two beds and from here what you cannot see is the next room where there is a jacuzzi bath with lights and a beautiful shower. Treat yourself to a day at the spa at MotorCity Casino Hotel. Below is Lincoln Johnson another balloon twister next to Bernie Stevens, entertainment agency.

Amnesia, the Detroit ultra lounge without equal. It’s where Detroit comes together for music and mingling. Here is my group coming together for a photo. Great group of people.

The following pictures are of a high roller suite. Over 50 people can fit in this room for a party.

Note the TV is in the mirror! I love this. I want one of these!

The buffet is delicious and there is something for everyone.

Stations include Asian, salad, turkey and prime rib, Mexican, soup, sushi, and then over the top dessert! Cookies, pies, cakes, brownies, ice cream bar, eclairs, and more.

I want to thank the staff at MotorCity Casino Hotel for showing us how wonderful there facility is. If you are interested in a having a party at MotorCity Casino Hotel call 313-237-6744 and ask for Irene Lignos

Atlas Oil does it again!

The Atlas Oil "Family", put on a fabulous event for the marines at Selfridge Airforce Base. Shown here receiving 2 awards on behalf of the marines, Atlas Oil goes far beyond dollars and cents to make a difference in the communities they serve. For these operators, giving back doesn't mean writing a check. It's about making lasting connections.

Through their charitable arm, Atlas Cares, this year's holiday party brought together more than 250 Marines, 100 family members and 100 volunteers for an afternoon of fun that included food, music, decorations, gifts from Santa, raffle and prizes and more.

Every good party needs music and thanks must go out to Simone Vitale who brought his 10 piece orchestra to play for 4 hours for the troops. Soldiers as well as family enjoyed singing, dancing and moving to the music. Simone's band did an excellent job and choose the perfect music for the afternoon!

Atlas Oil provided a table so the kids could decorate cookies and ornaments. They also provided face painting and Shutterbooth provided a photo booth for everyone to enjoy taking pictures home. The raffle was enjoyed by all especially by those who won gift cards and electronic gifts

Marines have a history. They have fought in every engagement the USA has ever been involved in. They are the presidents guard. Marines have a tradition. Marines never surrender. Marines do not leave their dead on the battlefield. Marines have honor. Marines die for that honor. Marines are Americans in the highest sense. Marines guard the gates of Heaven. I am in Heaven right now!

Thank you Miniature Motorways for providing the slot cars. Everyone enjoyed racing them.

Add ImageMinature Motorways also provided a tank game that was enjoyed by children as well as adults.

The room was a sea of camouflage. The Simone Vitale band kept everyone singing and dancing and moving.
No party would be complete without a visit from Santa Clause.
